Though Ramadhan is a time of purification and abstinence from all items that can enter the body, it is also a time where appreciation of food is at a high and some of Malaysia’s best-loved foods are often lovingly created and eaten.

While many people will break their fast with a quick and easy trip to the many Ramadhan bazaars and hawker stalls that will pop-up in every state and city, others will also take that extra bit of effort to prepare their favorite local dishes.
